The best school public relations brains in the business are available to you as a member of the Chesapeake Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). That's why it's such an essential connection for public relations professionals and others in education who understand the power of communication.
Through CHESPRA, we're "Changing How Everyone Sees PR, Again" through our diverse membership of PR professionals who provide years of proven expertise, hands-on experience, and innovative strategies to support your PR efforts.
CHESPRA offers memberships for individuals as well as education organizations (school divisions, agencies, private schools, etc.). Special non-voting memberships are available for students and retirees. Membership runs September 1 to August 31.
- Professional membership, Individual - $50
- Student or Retiree membership, Individual - $25
- Organization Membership, Level 1 (5 memberships) - $200
- Organization Membership, Level 2 (10 memberships) - $350

What We Offer
CHESPRA membership is open to public relations and communications practitioners throughout Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
CHESPRA is the only regional professional organization dedicated to advancing the cause of education through responsible communication. NSPRA has been providing training and services to school leaders throughout the United States, Canada, and U.S. dependent schools worldwide since 1935. Chapter membership includes timely tips through conferences, newsletters, networking with other professionals, and participation in contests.
CHESPRA professional development opportunities feature practical public relations and proven communication strategies. Recent workshop topics include delivering better customer service, publishing on the Internet, developing media savvy, knowing the law, and winning budget campaigns.
